Associate – The Energy Practice
Regular parachutist and skydiving formation coach, Paul Smith is used to getting the most out of a team to ensure the delivery of a successful result.
With 39 years’ experience in the building services construction industry under his belt and having worked on a diverse range of projects, Paul brings extensive knowledge to his role as Associate at the Energy Practice.
His approachability and versatility means that he is able to quickly understand both client and user requirements. These abilities enable him to work alongside his colleagues to provide the most appropriate electrical design solutions, whether simple or complex.
Paul’s team includes professionals at all stages of the career ladder, from trainees and graduates to intermediate, senior and principal building services engineers. The department is supported by CAD Technicians and the team work closely and collaboratively with all other disciplines in the business.
As well as previously holding British Parachute Association Instructor Ratings for 13 years, Paul presently holds the Rank of ‘Special Superintendent’ within Suffolk Constabulary, where he is responsible for a team of 60+ Volunteer Special Constables. He has twice (2012 and 2016) been awarded a County Police award for Leadership and management and during 2012 was awarded the Queens Diamond Jubilee Medal.
