The Energy Practice Ltd was engaged to undertake the electrical design of the Southern Airport Terminal Extension.
Described by Secretary of State for Transport, The Rt Hon Patrick McLoughlin as ‘a fantastic extension’, this new build will help to provide additional capacity for passenger numbers to grow towards 5 million.
The project was successfully completed to a fast track programme, and phased to enable the continuing operation of the airport during construction. It provides both extended departure and arrivals areas and improved baggage handling facilities.
Services included lighting, fire alarms and security systems, robust power distribution including standby generation, public address and information services, airside lighting and service connections.
